Warsop Infotech Group would like to welcome you to the Drop-in sessions. We hope you will enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and make the most of our ICT facilities. We have 30 networked computers which are available for training courses, Infotech drop-in sessions and self-directed study. All computers have broadband Internet connection for which there is no charge to Infotech members.

In addition to the computer suite, there are other resources for members to use, such as scanners, digital camera and laminator. There is also an impressive range of software and teaching manuals

Our Project Manager and voluteers are on hand at drop-in sessions to help you and there are always other Infotech members at the sessions who are willing to help. So if you need to know anything from how to turn on a computer to how to set up an e-mail address please ask. You will soon find that you are no longer the newest recruit and will be able to help new members.

Courses held at the Town Hall cover a wide range of topics, all professionally tutored. Details are advertised locally and the Centre Manager and Project Manager are willing to offer advice and information. The courses are organised by the Project Manager in partnership with local education providers and the Centre Manager. You are welcome to contact the Project Manager to request training courses or discuss your training needs.

Infotech Committee

The group is run by unpaid volunteers and is managed by a committee of four officers, a Chairman, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, plus five other members. The committee are elected at the AGM held in June each year. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday in the month and members are welcome to attend. Minutes of each meeting are posted on the Group notice board in the computer room for all members to see. A copy of the Constitution is available to all members.
